Most recent survey:
The Hornsby Monthly Survey this past Saturday (10 December) yielded 92 species. As expected due to the drought, bird numbers seem to be rather low though there is still some diversity about. The most interesting sighting is the continuation of Rusty Blackbirds (at least 10 individuals) around the edges of Pond 1West. Hopefully, these birds continue through the winter...or at least until next Saturday's Christmas Count. Full list follows... Species, numbers and a few comments follow....
